About the Department
Our Medical Imaging Department offers a comprehensive suite of imaging services—general x-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, ultrasound, bone density scanning, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine—across two convenient locations: within the CGH grounds and in the Sale CBD. We also provide Breast screen, Echocardiography, and imaging services at Raymond St and Fulham Correctional Centre.
Our equipment is modern, fully compliant with Medicare capital sensitivity requirements, and supported by a friendly, collaborative team that values quality and innovation.
About the Role
Step into a role where your expertise truly matters. As a Sonographer at CGH, you will provide and interpret a wide range of medical imaging examinations to support diagnosis and patient management. You’ll be part of a coordinated care model that ensures patients receive seamless, high-quality support across our health service.
Duties

Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations across General, MSK, Vascular, Obs/Gyn, Breast and interventional procedures

Collaborate closely with Radiologists, nursing staff, and other key stakeholders

Contribute to a supportive, patient-centred environment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Postgraduate degree in Ultrasound recognised by ASMIRT and ASAR

Bachelor of Medical Radiations is ideal but not essential

Training and upskilling opportunities available to enhance your current skill set
